The Angolan government is deeply saddened for the victims
and damage caused by the weekend earthquake that hit India and
Pakistan, particularly in the border region of Kashmir.
This sadness is contained in a message sent by the Angolan
Minister for External Relations, João Bernardo de Miranda,
to his counterparts, expressing to their respective governments
and bereaved families his most heartfelt condolences.
In the message to Kurshid Kasuri, Pakistani Foreign Minister,
Joao Miranda regrets the loss of more 23.000 of human lives,
injury to thousands of people and the devastating destruction
of infrastructures of Muzaffarabad, in the Kashmir region.
To his Indian colleague, Natwar Sing, the Angolan Minister
for External Relations expresses consternation for the region
being again hit, this year, by a new earthquake that is reported
to have killed more than 300.000 people, added to other human
and material damage.
